Boot Camp Cooking Series at the Farm to Inspire Healthy Eating Habits Level 1 Join us for a multi-day, life-changing immersion into the world of food that will transform your home cooking into healthy eating habits for you and your family. Boot Camp at the Farm is so much more than a cooking class. Our culinary series takes you through, informative sessions on a variety of topics. From a week-long experience, we provide great cooking curriculums. that mirrors professional culinary school from vegetarian and global cuisine to techniques such as grilling or braising. Learn to cook like the pros! At the end of each class, we sit down for healthy discussion, while we savor the delicious creations we’ve prepared. These are fun sessions for newlyweds, college students, group of friends, gal pals or cooking together with family. It's also a great way to make use of your vacation time. You will learn: Professional knife technique Proper use of cookware, kitchen tools, and basic pantry essentials Use of spices, herbs and seasonal ingredients, fundamental understanding of aromas and complex flavor profiles to incorporate into everyday meals How to select and cook meats, fish, and vegetables Sautéing, frying, simmering, grilling, braising and roasting Recipes and methods for soups, sauces, spice blends, stocks, appetizers, entrees, desserts, salads and more Learn how to optimize health eating habits Meal Menu, and Meal Planning whether you're a busy mom, home cook, cooking for one, or for those who work long and odd hours Culinary Boot Camp at the Farm is five consecutive days Monday through Friday If you’re one person or a group, and the dates we have posted does not work for you, please send us an email, and we will be happy to check our availability. info@nirmalaskitchen.com Location: 690 New Paltz Road Highland, NY 12528


Cancellation Policy

Policy on Events and Cooking Classes All class sales are final. We do not offer refunds on purchased tickets. If you are unable to attend a class and notify us at least one week (7 days) in advance, you may select another class of equal value within the following two months. If you're a no show, there will be no credit for future classes. Although it very rarely happens, we reserve the right to cancel or change the time or date of the event or class due to weather, safety, or other uncontrollable circumstances. You may schedule or select another class of equal value within the following two months by emailing us at info@nirmalaskitchen.com Policy on Special Events, Kids Cooking Camp, Boot Camp Cooking & Limited Series All Special Events, Limited Series, Kids Cooking Camp and Boot Camp Cooking reservations are taken on a first come, first serve basis so you are encouraged to sign up early. If we cancel a Special Events, Kids Cooking, Limited Series and Boot Camp Cooking for any reason, you will be notified immediately by phone or email and be fully refunded your registration fees. If the Special Events, Kids Cooking Camp, Limited Series and Boot Camp Cooking are held, and you're a no show, there will be no refunds or credit for a future event for any reason. Kids Cooking Camp Classes: Allergies Note: Gluten, nuts, dairy, eggs, and meat are served at camp. If your child has life-threatening food allergies, please email info@nirmalaskitchen.com before registration. We will need to discuss the emergency protocol and get doctor permission to ensure your student’s safety. Additional Details Drop-off is at 9:45 am. Pick-up is at 3:00-3:15 pm. Please adhere to these times as we do not have the capability of providing before or after camp care. Safety in the kitchen and on the farm is a priority, and basic first-aid will be administered if needed (small cuts, scrapes, bruises). For any serious emergency, 911 will be called, and parents will be notified immediately. The nearest hospital emergency room is Vassar, Mid- Hudson Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. Attire: Kids should wear weather-appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes, and should bring a hat, and sunscreen each day. Aprons will be provided.
